			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>That is how the local Chinese refer to the <a href="http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1994133,00.html" target="_blank">1989 Tiananmen incident</a>. I don&#8217;t agree with the criticism directed at the Chinese government for their forceful way to end the incident. What other options are there? Let the students take over?<br />

I remembered I was at a hotel in Singapore with my parents when the tension was building up and then exploded into the 6 4. I remembered seeing reports on the TV but wasn&#8217;t matured enough to take much notice back then.</p>

Chang&#8217;an Avenue is the road directly before <a title="Tiananmen" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiananmen" target="_blank">Tiananmen</a> gate and to the north of <a title="Tiananmen Square" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiananmen_Square" target="_blank">Tiananmen Square</a>. It is a major road in Beijing and historically significant too.
