Stir-frying garlic and ginger

Washing the rice while the chicken is being cooked. Estimating the amount of water level is the tricky part. The standard guide on the pot can’t be used because there are sauce in the meat and it is hard to know the amount of sauce. It’s more…trial and error.

Complete with dark soy sauce, soy sauce and some white pepper. Sesame oil would add more flavour but i ran out.

Add some mushrooms, so that it isn’t all meat, which can feel a little sick.

Not too tiny since mushrooms tend to shrink.

And pour into the pot of rice and onto the rice cooker. All done.

Dinner is served, with cut chilli, coriander and left-over omelette.

Which wasn’t up to my expectations. Looked better than it tasted,
