Ideal

Physically. Takenouchi Yutaka.

Very charming. And his eyes…

I like him best in With Love. Never agreed to guys having long hair but he is an exception. The only Oriental guy that could pull off long hair, in my opinion.

Why this car?

Still coming to terms with the scars. It’s heart-wrenching, frustrating and dissappointing when you take such good care of your possessions and yet you are the one that has to take the negatives. It was just less than an hour to go out to get something. And it is now badly scarred…dents all over and lots of little chips on the windscreen and windows.
The heart-breaking sight…

Insurance hopefully covers (for some reason, no one is answering the phone at the insurance company today) but still…the hassle of having it repaired and the possibility of other forms of damages inflicted by the repairer. I prefer to minimise leaving the car with anyone else, if possible. And how close to the original state can they get it back to? And the standard excess payable. All this for…being at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Can’t you hit those who doesn’t give a shit about their car. Why?

I don’t care if the whole Melbourne is underwater. I just want the car back in its previous condition. I don’t think it can suffer another blow after what its gone through

Maybe it’s a sign. A sign to get another car. But…i don’t want any other car…

Disaster weather today

A freak storm swept through Melbourne this afternoon. Was on the way to get some groceries. The sky was extremely dark. The temperature wasn’t cold though. Probably mid 20s. Not the sort of temperature you’d expect to get hails, not to mention a hailstorm. I was expecting heavy rain but all of a sudden, loud thuds began. Not just hail but a hailstorm. I don’t know what the size of the hailstones shooting down are but they must be huge to be able to make loud thuds when they landed on the car. I was stunned. Not because there is a hailstorm but because of the damage it is inflicting on the car. I was very concerned about the windscreen being smashed with each ball of hail hitting it. And the wounds. It was a painful moment but nothing can be done to stop it. Was out on the road, in the open. Visibility was close to zero. There was nowhere undercover to take shelter. Had to keep driving and finally noticed and turned into an undercover carpark of a furniture shop. There were lots of cars and people taking shelter in there. But it was close to the end of the hailstorm by then. Only a few minutes in there and people started leaving. It had stopped. I wished the shelter was closer. I wished more that i hadn’t gone out or should have gone out an hour later. Why does it have to be at that exact moment…not earlier, not later.

Driving out from the carpark, i noticed the hail was about the size of a 50 or 20 cents coin or probably bigger. I found a couple of pictures of the pingpong ball-sized hailstones on The Age -

Inspecting the extent of the damage. Not good at all. I know it’s not the end of the world but… just in pain.

- If i need to cater to everyone. Their likes and dislikes. Their wants and don’t wants. Who caters to me?

- The salesperson in expensive stores that give you that ‘i-don’t-think-you-can-afford-anything-in-here’ look. The only person that is certain to not be able to afford anything in the store is they themselves. They are the ones working for a wage there after all, not the customer.

- It’s a Chinese thing but i’m finding it more and more unacceptable than ever. The fact that someone besides your partner using the chopsticks, spoon or whatever cutleries they were feeding from, to pass something to you. One word. Gross. Same goes with sharing a drink with anyone else besides your partner. The saliva. Someone else’s. Doesn’t matter whether it’s family or not. One word. Gross.

- One of the most ridiculous statement i’ve ever heard “You should have a baby since the parents are still able to take care of the baby for you”. Where did people place their brains and senses? I have a baby because i want to have a baby and i want to take care of the baby that i choose to have. Not have a baby because there are people around who think they can help me look after babies. If i’m going to have a baby, i am going to be the one looking after him/her, not anyone else.

- I have no respect for people with maids. Unless they live in a mansion where it takes hours to walk from one end to another. Other than that, people who hire maids are nothing but a crippled. So are their children who grew up with one. And if you can’t take care of your own children without a maid, then don’t have one.

- Being organised is an important trait to have. If you have clients coming in to sign some documents, you should have them all ready prior to the clients coming in. Not scuffling around to print out missing pages whilst in the meeting with the client. What sort of impression will that leave? It doesn’t matter if your company is Apple or Microsoft, lack of organisation only shows the type of person you are and the quality of work that you produce. Same goes with personal organisation.

- Isn’t it ironic when people tell you not to consume overnight food when you are trying to put away your leftovers, and go on and on about why it’s not good. Then you find some dishes that they made still stored in the fridge a few days later. Excuse me? What was not good again?

- Being anal is a good trait to have. I don’t understand how people can be rough, careless, unrefined when handling things. Opening the door of the car so wide that it knocks into the car beside it. Closing doors with a slam. Washing dishes by knocking it around in the sink. If i can do it close to being silent, i don’t see why other can’t, since everyone thinks i don’t know or can’t handle anything. The fact is…i can do most things better, gentler and with more care than anyone else. Which means no one should tell me what or how i should do things.

- The older generation doesn’t necessarily know things better than i do. I may not say much but that doesn’t mean i don’t know anything. I may even know more than they think they do. I may even be more capable than they think they are. Don’t underestimate the silent one.
