Drunk is not an excuse

Stumbled onto this article from Eddie Wong’s post. If you can’t handle alcohol and want to get yourself killed, nobody is going to care. But if you can’t handle alcohol and go around setting other living things on fire, then you’re nothing but a pathetic case. And take a look at this pathetic one…

And the bunny she set on fire

what did it do to deserve this?

Images from DailyMail. The news here.

In Eddie Wong‘s words, humans are a sad, sad race. And i couldn’t agree with more. And the punishment should be an eye for an eye. Humans won’t learn by merely getting a fine or a warning or jailed. That’ll be too easy on them. They should be set on fire for a few minutes.

Hot Cross Buns

When hot cross buns are available for sale at the bakeries and supermarkets, it means Easter is not far away. Nnever quite like hot cross buns but I learnt the tastier way to eat hot cross buns a few years ago, from some ex-colleagues. Not sure if it’s just Australians that prepare their hot cross buns this way though.

these ones seemed rather neat and round. some looks rough and not as pretty.
P1010728

cut them in half or just three quarters through to be able to spread butter in-between and heat them in the microwave for….. these two were heated for 30 seconds. It’s trial and error.

Jack Neo & wife’s press con re affair

Jack Neo, of Money Not Enough fame held a press conference a few days ago, to speak about his affair. Apparently, the other woman confronted his wife. Jack and his wife are so dramatic, almost as if they were putting on a show. The wife had to faint at the perfect time, not before the press conference, not during but just as she was about to leave…
She asked for the public’s support and blessing…what support, what blessing? Why is she breaking down in tears in public. For sympathy?
This is what i would say, if it was me…
“Thank you for all your concern. Jack probably just lost his way for a moment and strayed. We’ve been married for 20 over years. Can a mere 2 years come between us?” and turn over to Jack and whisper “If 2 years can come between us, then we should no longer be together and…it’s your loss, not mine.”

Mark Lee, from Money Not Enough and Ah Long Pte Ltd was also present, helping Jack’s wife when she fainted.

frying the garlic and ginger briefly before adding the meat and beancurd. I don’t agree with adding the ingredients when the oil is burning hot. Not that it’ll taste any better. After a few seconds of pouring the oil, i think it’s fine to start adding the ingredients. Prevents the oil from splattering all over. And it’s comparable to those that fog up the whole kitchen with oil when they cook. At least i think mine is. It’s just an old school misconception.
