NKOTB: 22 Years On « Junkgirl™

New Kids on the Block was one of the earlier and most successful boy bands, formed by Maurice Starr in 1986. The group is made up of Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, brothers Jordan and Jon Knight, and Joe McIntyre (the baby of the group). Mark Wahlberg, Donnie’s younger brother, was the original fifth member of the group but he quit due to difference in directions. Joe McIntyre became the final addition. They were the predecessors of Take That, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC

In the early 90s, their popularity began to fade. The group split in 1994 and the guys went their own ways.
